The moment it loses its power of preservation, taste, or flavor, it becomes just white sand. (Matthew 5:13)\n\nHere are key takeaways to note: \n\n📍 As a believer, we lose our saltiness when we become identical to what we are supposed to preserve and correct.\n\n📍 We must learn to stand for the truth and never compromise on values that are against our faith.\n\n📍 The scripture outlines that our faith must be reflected in our personal lives. Therefore, our lives must preach what we  believe. (Philemon 1:6)\n\n📍 We must ask ourselves - What aspect of our lives shows evidence of our walk with God? \n\n📍As a Christian, we should communicate our faith through our lives, and it must be effectual.\n\n📍 Let people be able to tell from the way we act, talk or dress - the fruits must be evident.\n\nTwo school of thoughts to note: (Philemon 1:6)\n\n1. Fruits of the Spirit\nThese reflect what is within us internally but seen externally by people as evidence that we are truly children of God.\n\n2. Accountability\nIf we belong to the Kingdom, we should be held accountable to the standards of our confession.\n\n📍 As believers, we cannot be part of the Kingdom and live however we like. The people around us must be able to acknowledge our walk with Christ.\n\n📍 Our total conviction is not tied to just believing in God alone, because even demons believe in God. \n\n📍Faith is the requirement for salvation, but if not evident, it is fake.\n\n📍 The fruit of the Spirit is the evidence that shows a believer. (Romans 10:9)\n\nFear in this context is not the fear of constant punishment, but a continual reverence for God. It is the fear of God that delivers us from every other thing.\n\nSome corresponding actions that show fear for God:\n\n* Our reverence - recognizing that His fear alone is consuming.\n* Our decision to stand for Him until the end of your life.\n* Performing our duties as believers to keep His commandments.\n* Not living as though we are beyond God or accountability.\n* Living a life that preaches what we believe through integrity, speech, and conduct.\n\nFamily, as we have learnt this week and beyond, intentionally live and practice the fear of God.
